STORYTIMES

Westbank Libraries offer Storytimes for a variety of ages.  Storytime is more than just fun and games! It provides an opportunity to develop of number of important skills including motor, visual, auditory, pre-reading and social skills.

Infant Storytime (Ages birth-1 year): This storytime is designed for babies from birth through one year.  Join Ms. Kristi at the Westbank Library on Mondays at 10:30 am or Ms. Jen at Laura's Library on Thursdays at 10:30 am.

Tot Time Storytime (Ages 1 - 3 years): Bring your toddlers for storytime with songs, books, fingerplays and crafts!  Join Ms. Kristi at the Westbank Library or Ms. Mary Beth at Laura's Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 am.

Preschool Storytime (Ages 3 - 5 years): Preschoolers will enjoy songs, fingerplays, books, and crafts at this storytime.  Join Ms. Kristi at the Westbank Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 am or Ms. Mary Beth at Laura's Library on Mondays at 12:30 pm.

Afternoon Storytime (All Ages): Bring the whole family for this storytime for stories, crafts, songs and more.  Join Ms. Mary Beth at the Westbank Library at 3:30 pm or Ms. Jen at Laura's Library at 4:00 pm.

Spanish Storytime (All Ages): Come here stories in Spanish on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 10:30 a.m. at the Westbank Library.

Pajama Story (All Ages): Come dressed in your pajama with your favorite toy or blanket. We'll bring the cookies and milk! Join Ms. Kristi at the Westbank Library on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm or Ms. Sharon at Laura's Library on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Check the calendar for specific dates.

Nature Storytime (Ages 1 - 5 years): This storytime is co-sponsored by Camp Fire USA and features educational nature-related activities. Join the fun on the 4th Saturday of the month at 10:30 am.  Location alternates between Westbank and Laura's Library so check the calendar for this month's location.

CRAFTS and MORE

Krafty Kids (All Ages): Stop in and create a different craft each month!  Join Ms Kristi at the Westbank Library on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm or Ms Trina at Laura's Library on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.

Checkmate Chess Club (All Ages): Come play chess with lots of other chess players. All skill levels are welcome!  Check the calendar for holiday cancellations.

Friday Family Films (All Ages): Bring a blanket and a pillow, the Library will provide the popcorn and lemonade!  Join us at Laura's Library on the third Friday of the month at 4:00 pm. Check our calendar for the movie of the month.

Summer Reading Program (All Ages):  During the months of June and July we have eight weeks of special activities for kids of all ages. In addition to our regular storytimes, we have craft times, special performers and exploration activites (i.e. how does a hot air balloon work, Lego Robotics and learn to juggle).
