Many organizations work to make the Westbank area a great place to live. Besides the library, we are supported by local governments, schools and parent groups, the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, churches, the Picayune and other local papers, service organizations, fire and law enforcement services, home owner associations, and various charities and nonprofits. The more these organizations can partner with each other, the better able we are to create an impact for the people who live here.

Would you take a few minutes to answer a short survey? It has only three fill-in-the-blank questions.  You can write as much as you like.

  1. Aspirations: My hope is to live in a community where __________________.
  2. Challenges: Right now, the challenges we face in reaching these aspirations are ____________________.
  3. Changes: In order to reach these aspirations, we need to _________________.

Once we have collected and sorted through the responses to find the common themes, we will share the results with you and with the other organizations in our community.

Please share the link with others in the community. The more people we hear from, the more we’ll understand what’s important to you.

The initiative to create better community partnerships is being taken by libraries across America. Texas librarians have been afforded training from the Harwood Institute for Public Innovation, with support from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, in order to facilitate these community engagement conversations.

Thank you so much for participating!
