Chinese Calligraphy is a type of Calligraphy developed from and widely practiced in China. It uses brushes, black ink, and rice paper, and created through energy in motion that’s registered as traces on paper. Chinese Calligraphy is an important and appreciated aspect of Chinese culture. Chinese people think Calligraphy is not only a form of art, but also reflects the writer’s personality. Ms. Xuefei Zhu will teach how to use the energy and motion of your arm to apply force on the Calligraphy brush to create beautiful pictographic Chinese characters on the paper.
Ms. Xuefei Zhu from Westlake Chinese Academy is a calligraphy artist and has been teaching calligraphy in China for more than three decades.
