Heidi Lowell creates colorful watercolor mosaics that pay homage to the natural world, as well as the human heart. She strongly believes that art and nature are required in daily doses to nurture us. In this vein, she was recently the Artist in Residence at the Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve.
Heidi lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, daughter, and their pug Norman. She grew up in the mountains of Colorado. Her most formative experiences were camping and hiking with her family and friends in National Parks, and along the Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail. Her favorite hikes have been the Narrows in Zion National Park and Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park. For more, visit her at heidilowell.art.
