Click here to join Adult Artisan Workshop, a live virtual program happening at 5pm. Limited supplies will be available at each library for pick up between 12-3pm on a first-come, first-served basis.
Beeswax is completely natural, antibacterial, antifungal, waterproof, moisturizing, and it never goes bad. In the first class we will make some awesome food storage wraps with beeswax, tree resin, jojoba oil, and cotton cloth. The wraps are soft and pliable, and provide a healthy and much needed alternative to plastic. In the 2nd class we will pour beeswax into locally gathered Burr Oak acorn caps, creating a nature-inspired centerpiece of floating candles. You will need a few pans, a stove, spoon, scissors, and toothpicks. We provide the rest of the materials. The classes will take place in 2 sessions,.
If you can’t attend the program, you can find the instructions for your own Beeswax Arts here!
