Mindfulness and the Holidays – A Meditation Approach

The holidays can be stressful and we often forget to think about ourselves and our families. Elizabeth Hoisington will teach us everyday mindfulness tools that can bring calm in to your family during the holiday season. After the presentation there will be time for a Q & A and a brown bag discussion with other parents facing similar challenges. Come connect with other caregivers – we are all in this together!

Elizabeth Hoisington is founder of Corporate Mindfulness, bringing mindfulness meditation into the workplace. Elizabeth has a private practice in Austin, Texas, where she works with clients on an individual basis.  Elizabeth attended the University of Santa Monica, receiving a Masters in Spiritual Psychology. Prior she attended the University of Colorado receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts.

Whether your child has been diagnosed with special needs or has particular challenges yet to be identified; whether they are spirited, struggle with reading or writing, or have sensory issues; whether they have learning, emotional, or behavioral differences, or fall into the quirky kid category, we’ll explore the means to help you help your child here in the Westlake area with monthly guest speakers and parent discussions. This series is targeted toward parents of children throughout Eanes ISD, whether in public, private, or home schooling, and is open to everyone.

Some presentations are available via Livestream on YouTube, you can also view past topics on the Westbank Library YouTube Channel.
