Increasing Self-Confidence and Social Skills with Creativity

Finding an effective approach to enriching your child’s creativity, increasing their self-confidence, and enhancing their social skills both inside and outside the classroom can seem next to impossible. Joshua Levy will share a unique and successful approach that your child, you, and your child’s school can successfully learn to use. After the presentation there will be time for Q & A and a brown bag discussion with other parents facing similar challenges. Come connect with other caregivers – we are all in this together!

Joshua Levy is founder of Joshua’s Stage, an enrichment program for participants with a wide range of special needs that conducts performing arts activities. Joshua trains educators, caregivers, and students to implement his The Creative Outlet Method™. Joshua attended the University of Texas at Dallas, receiving a Masters in Business Administration, and he attended Texas State University, receiving a Masters of Educational Administration. Prior he attended the University of Nebraska receiving a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education.

Whether your child has been diagnosed with special needs or has particular challenges yet to be identified; whether they are spirited, struggle with reading or writing, or have sensory issues; whether they have learning, emotional, or behavioral differences, or fall into the quirky kid category, we’ll explore the means to help you help your child here in the Westlake area with monthly guest speakers and parent discussions. This series is targeted toward parents of children throughout Eanes ISD, whether in public, private, or home schooling, and is open to everyone.

Some past presentations are available on the Westbank Library YouTube Channel.
