Today, popular Waterloo Watercolor Group speaker Helen Green will share her approach to a tried-and-true subject: bird nests. It is a simple subject, one that can represent family and spring, and one that lends itself to an infinite array of techniques and versions.

The longtime artist says, “Painting time sometimes is limited and I always want to get going as quickly as possible when in my studio. Bird nests are my ‘go to’ subject when I am trying a new technique that I learned in a workshop.”

Helen hails from a family of artists and paints daily. She will discuss her notebook system for organizing her color, nature, and landscape work and promises an easy-to follow handout, too! Read more about Helen Green here:
