Join us for Summer Discovery Program kickoff on May 26 from 10-1 at Laura’s Library to enjoy performances by Joe McDermott (10:30) and magician Cody Fischer (noon). We’ll also have Nate the Great balloons, miniature horses, a bungee trampoline, and a special visit from a couple of super heroes.

Throughout the summer we will be focusing on discovery, free play, and self-directed learning, with something for everyone:

Explore art materials, toys and games, Mad Science, music and movement, Spanish, and Chinese.

Learn about musical instruments, meditation, yoga, American Sign Language, and laughter yoga.

Read Wonder (Palacio), Jumanji (Allsburg), A Bear Called Paddington (Bond) and then watch the movie. Teens will read superhero books at YA Book Club. Everyone is invited to keep a reading log.

Watch Circus Chickendog, Hey Lolly Brass Band, Booktastic Magic Show, Staci Gray, Bonzo Crunch, juggle Matt Tardy, Mad Science, Percussion Things, and other performers.

Enjoy pajama storytime, zoo programs, Music Pups, Armstrong Music, Friday matinees (Toy Story and Toy Story 2), and teen video game night.

For adults we have all of our regular programs and book groups, including meditation, tech help, knitting, trail hikes, genealogy, and Shakespeare. We will also have a number of parenting and education programs.
