Our libraries are closed until we receive guidance that it is safe to open, but staff are working from home to help as best we can! Email us with any questions!
Digital library We have a robust digital library accessible if you have a full library membership. Neighbor card members have temporary access until June 30.
Resources and instructions are on the Digital Library page of our website. It includes thousands of ebooks, downloadable audios, magazines and newspapers. We have Kanopy for films and Acorn for British television. There are other resources there too, like Mango Languages, Bookflix, Tumblebooks, Learning Express, and test prep from the Testing & Education Resource Center. Take this time to learn something new!
If you have questions about your account the best way to reach us is on our email address firstname.lastname@example.org. Staff can access this email remotely, so you will get a faster response.
Getting a library card If you live in our district or the Eanes School District, and you do not have a library card, you can apply for one here. If you are not in our district, email us and we’ll help you figure out which library is yours.
Delayed due dates All items that are currently checked out have had the due date changed to 4/30/2020, and we can extend that if we need to. You may return items to the book drops that are attached to our buildings, but we would prefer you just hang on to them for now.
Accounts that are recently expired or due to expire soon have had the expiration date updated to 5/15/2020 to ensure continued access to the digital library. We will extend that if we need to.
Requests We will not be honoring requests for materials to be purchased at this time. Please wait till we reopen to place requests. We will be continuing to buy lots of ebooks and e-audios. Be sure to check all of our digital platforms (Overdrive/Libby, cloudLibrary, and RBDigital Audio) for titles of interest.
Reserves If you have an item sitting on our reserve shelf, it will still be there when we reopen. No new reserves are being accepted at this time.
Virtual programming We will be streaming some programs and videoing others. Watch our website and Facebook for information over the coming weeks.
Book donations We are not accepting book donations at this time.
Local businesses We are tracking which local businesses are still open for curbside or delivery service. Your patronage keeps people employed.
Newsletter You can sign up for our newsletter on our homepage. We will share local information and any updates to library service about once per week during library closure.
Coronavirus information We are updating our Coronavirus information page daily with links to the latest official information.
